Pages Care for Wood Dishes

Craig's Wood may be finished with beeswax and/or a paste of hemp seed oil & lemon oil & soy wax. The waxes makes the wood feel smooth and repel water. The hemp seed oil will eventually (after about 30 days) harden into a protective layer. The lemon oil smells good and acts as a solvent to help the hemp seed oil and wax soak into the wood.

Wash wooden items by hand.

**Do not soak** wooden dishes in water, as prolonged exposure can cause swelling or cracking.

Rinse thoroughly and **dry immediately** with a towel.

After towel-drying, place the item in a well-ventilated area to finish air-drying.

Avoid drying in **direct sunlight** or near heat sources, which can cause warping.

When the wood looks dull, re-apply a food-safe oil or paste wax
